Review: ELF Healthy Glow Bronzing Powders

(from l-r: sunkissed, matte bronze, warm tan)
I ordered these bronzers (along with one other one which I'll explain in a second) from ELF a few of months ago. I ordered sunkissed, matte bronze, warm tan, and luminance. Luminance sadly broke. I was holding it and shook it in the air for like three seconds and the powder broke! It was such a soft texture. I guess that it was so soft that it broke! It was a gorgeous color, too bad it broke :/
(matte bronze)
The picture isn't really true to color. It's really washed out. The color is a lot darker in person. I think this would work a lot better for people with nc30 skin and above. I'm an nc20 and this is way too dark for me. I never use it. It's also kind of chalky, so watch out for that.

(warm tan)
This is definitely, hands down, my favorite color of the bunch! I have dry skin so the shimmer doesn't bother me. (I heared oily skin should stay away from shimmer) I love the way it looks. It's such a gorgeous color! I think this would work on all skin tones and that says a lot.

(sunkissed)
I actually ordered this one first, about a month before the other three. I honestly don't like it. It's far too shimmery and too ORANGE. It is very orange. You can't even tell on the picture. I really don't reccomend it unless you want to look like an oompa loompa, which you probably don't, so stay away!

(flash)

(no flash)
(from l-r: sunkissed, matte bronze, warm tan)

All in all, I really would only recommend Warm tan. Unless you're darker, than I would recommend matte bronze.

Thanks for reading, dolls! xo

Review: Hard Candy Blush Crush Baked Blush in Honeymoon

Hey everyone! Today I'm going to be reviewing a Hard Candy Blush in Honeymoon. Hard Candy is, as I know, only available at Walmart. If I am incorrect let me know! I bought it at Walmart for $9 which is actually a really good deal, considering most "baked" makeup items are expensive and I'm pretty sure every powdered makeup product they have is baked. They are actually similar to MAC MSF's, Honeymoon is actually similar to MAC's Perfect Topping MSF. Perfect topping has more of a silver undertone, while Honeymoon has more of a goldish undertone.

As you can see it's a peachy pink color with some slight goldish undertones to it, along with some lavender veining running through it. It looks really gorgeous in the pan as well as it does on the cheeks. You could also get away with using this as a highlight.

One of the best parts of Hard Candy is that they don't test on animals! If you were worried about Hard Candy testing on animals, worry no longer! (:

There's a swatch of the color above. I hope you can see the slight gold undertone in it, I think it's an absolutely gorgeous color. I don't give it as much credit as it deserves. I highly recommend this blush!

My MAC Palette + Mini Update!

Sorry I've been gone for five whole days! Lately I've just been so tired, working on homework, studying for this test I took today, I'm taking the last portion of the test tomorrow (thank god) but too bad it's on my weakest subject, math. By the way expect a haul some time next week or the week after! I ordered a lot of things online from Sephora, MAC, and Transdesign.com! I'm super excited to get everything in!

(first row, l-r: naked lunch, grand entrance, jest, and all that glitters. second row, l-r: honesty, mulch, and satin taupe)

I love my neutral eyeshadow as you can see, these are all the MAC eyeshadows I own. I do own two other quads, but those don't really count. My personal favorite colors are naked lunch, grand entrance and satin taupe. The ones I don't use or care for are all that glitters and honesty. Honesty really lacks in pigment. It really is just a very very sheer brown with a bunch of shimmer. All that glitters is just not my type of color, a lot of people describe it as a champagne color. That is definitely not the case, it's more of a neutral melon/gold toned lid color. I really am not a fan of melon nor gold colors. It was my first eyeshadow from MAC (first permanent color) and it was a huge dissapointment for me.

(from l-r: naked lunch, grand entrance, jest, all that glitters, honesty, mulch, satin taupe)

Hope you enjoyed the post, dolls! xo

WAID: 004

001. So sorry I haven't been doing real posts lately! I've just been busy, I know, story of my life. I promise tomorrow I'll do a real post! I'm getting out of school early so I'll have a couple of extra hours in the day to do whatever I want! I'll make a post or two. Maybe a review and a collective haul. I'm not too sure yet, but we'll see!

002. I have been blogging a lot lately, not here, but on luuux! If you don't have a luuux account go join luuux now! It's really easy, just join! You get points for blogging, which I love blogging, so I'm basically getting free things for doing what I love. You blog, comment, and rate posts for points! Once you have enough points you'll be able to choose a prize from the shop and choose whatever you want! (As long as you have enough points)

003. I'm slacking terribly at school! I've missed a lot of days already and I'm just not understanding any of the work I get! I'm probably going to fail most of my classes.. Oh dear god.

004. I have an idea to do a new kind of posts, its like Current Obsessions or Current Loves 001, 002, etc. Tell me what you guys think! Which one should I go with Current Obsessions? or Current Loves?

So, that's all for my little update! Thanks so much for reading! Love you all! xo

What's In My Purse?

I bought the purse yesterday, it's from the Mulberry for Target line. This is the bag. I was really excited when Target announced the Mulberry for Target line! I was actually going to get the bigger bag; the $50 bag but I didn't like the strap/handle to it! So I settled for this instead, I love it though! It's small, but holds everything I need!
I decided to put up this post because I personally love watching "What's in my purse" videos on youtube and even looking at pictures on blogs! It's nothing special, and the quality of the pictures are super duper crappy. Sorry again. I'm going to ask my dad if I can have his digital camera until I get my DSLR since that is much better quality! As soon as I get a new camera I'll do an updated What's in my purse- promise!

(from left to right, up and down: keys, coin purse, hand sanitizer, mac msf, clinique tender heart l/s, mac hue l/s, clinique lipgloss, revlon lipgloss, random pen, ud 24/7 zero eyeliner, estee lauder eyeliner (for friend), bobby pins, ring, soft lips, necklace)
On my keychain I have a dream catcher (bought it on a field trip in sixth grade), my keys of course, and the chain that came with the Mulberry for Target purse this is all in.

Thanks for reading loves! xo

WAID: 003

001. School wasn't bad today, whatsoever. It was actually pretty great. I've been doing good this school year; I've actually made a couple of new friends which is something I rarely do. I usually just stick with the ones I already have. During the summer I was very, I don't know how to say it, lost. I hated everyone and everything. I ranted and ranted about how I can't stand this town, but really most teenagers feel that way. I just needed a friend, which during the summer I had two. Both cousins of mine, I didn't really talk to people other than them during the summer. People did reach out to me and tried to talk to me; I just pushed them away. See, I'm very picky when it comes with people and relationships. I really don't know why I don't like to talk to people. It's odd, and it's something I hate.

002. Sorry I haven't been posting makeup related things lately, I've just been too lazy to send the photos to my email address  and then save it to my computer, then upload it and put it on here. I love posting reviews and hauls and such, I just wish the pictures would upload themselves ha ha.

003. Does anyone have a twitter? I made this new one a couple of months ago and decided to keep it as a personal twitter. If you want to follow me it is @csndrariz I usually tweet about the most random things. Nothing in particular.

004. I went to Target yesterday and bought two things. I'm not going to say what since I'll be doing a haul on it in a bit. I was very excited to get both home, they are both lovely products. One is a makeup product and the other is an accessory product, you'll see what I'm talking about when I post the haul. I took pictures but they came out really crappy. I think I'm just going to retake the pictures; I hate crappy quality anything. I'll retake the pictures and the post them later on today!

005. I hope and pray that I get enough money on Christmas to buy myself a Canon EOS XS, the quality of that camera is amazing. The price is not bad for a DSLR camera, it costs $500 but I am trying to find it cheaper somewhere. I might check eBay for that. I know for sure I'll be getting the camera before my birthday. But I'm hoping that I can get it by Christmas! I can't wait to get it; the pictures on my blog will be 1000000000x better for you guys! During the summer I started getting really into photography and now I think it's time for a DSLR camera!

006. I also really want a macbook. Why a macbook? Because they are amazing. I want just the plain white one that costs $1000. It's a pretty hefty price for me. I'm planning on saving up all of my money that I get on my birthday and Christmas of '11 then saving a bit up from my allowance and hopefully I'll have enough!

007. I've been on luuux like crazy lately. I just love the idea of it, blog, rate, and comment for a prize. The prizes consist of Sigma brushes, iPad, iPods, Benefit cosmetics, Louis Vuitton handbags, Christian Louboutin shoes, etc. I highly suggest you join! It's loads of fun AND you get rewarded for it! Love, love, LOVE that site and the best part is (for all people that love fashion and makeup) it's mostly posts about fashion and makeup!

That is all my lovelies, hope you have a wonderful rest of the afternoon! xo

WAID: 002

001. So, I've decided to do this new WAID thing. Basically WAID stands for What Am I Doing? In my WAID posts I will inform you how my life is, rants, excitement, anything really. I've done a post on this before, I just didn't call it WAID, I kind of came up with WAID a couple of minutes ago. The post is linked here, I am aware most people won't really enjoy reading this but I do enjoy writing these (: I'll post one whenever I want to.

002. Today, Saturday, I did nothing. Yes, nothing on Saturday. I literally stayed home on my laptop all day, well except for the part where I cleaned my closet. Finally after months and months of messiness, it's semi-clean. I couldn't have done it without the help of my mum haha.

003. My mother went to the store several times today, I'm not quite sure why I didn't go with her either time. I really wanted to get L.A. Candy by Lauren Conrad. I've wanted to read for days now. I actually enjoy reading, something a lot of people have lost interest in over the years. Everyone (at least at my school) thinks reading is so lame, or that only nerds read, etc. No, I'm not a nerd (my grades consist of B's and C+'s, and rarely an A) and I enjoy reading. I think everyone can enjoy reading; if they found the right books. The books that interest them. I used to hate reading with a passion, (not the subject, I was always great at it) the thing is I was reading the wrong books. I was reading books that didn't interest me. I finally found books that interest me and it's made me one happy camper! If you don't like reading, my advice to you is to go to your local public library and search for a book that has an interesting ending. That's what I do. I open the book, go to the last page, read it and decide if I would like the book. It's kind of odd, but it works for me!

004. I just remembered I have tons of homework to do. I've been absent for five days in two school weeks. That's like a whole school week gone, but I didn't miss much learning. The district was taking benchmarks for two days and they didn't do anything the day after the testing. I just missed two lessons in each class. My math tutor teacher (I have an actual class dedicated to math tutoring, I am terrible at it. I failed the math TAKS test which is the Texas state test, so I have to take the course so I can hopefully pass this time) gave me loads of makeup work. I think it's due Monday. After I post this I think I'm going to get started on it. On the brightside, the math tutoring works. I've actually been learning a lot this year. Last year I didn't know how to divide right. I thought I was doing it right, but I wasn't. (that is so sad, how can an 8th grader not know how to divide?) I still use the latice method when multiplying and I don't know my times table by heart. (superuperuper sad, I know.) So yes, as you can see I am horrid when math is involved.

005. I haven't been wearing makeup since Tuesday whatsoever. The reason I haven't is because I have an infection/imjury on my right cornea so it's a little swollen and pink. Right now, it's almost not swollen at all and almost white but I'm going to wait until Wednesday to wear makeup. I have an appointment with an eye doctor on Wednesday so I'm waiting until the doctor tells me what is wrong with my eye and hopefully it's safe to start wearing makeup again. Lifes been so boring without makeup (insert depressed face here) I really miss sleeping at night excited to wake up in the morning to apply makeup. Now I wake up, brush my teeth, shower, put on my clothing, eat/drink breakfast, then go to school. Dull and boring. I cannot wait until I get the thumbs up to wear makeup. I actually think I'm going to do a heavy winged eyeliner look just to celebrate. I am sounding rediculous right now.

006. I love my cat. He's a siamese boy. His name is Peyton. I didn't name him, his previous owner did. He is nine years old. I've had him since I was eight years old, and he was around three-four years old. His "birthday" is on the fourth of July. I put quotation marks around birthday because that's the day I think I got him. His previous owner was my mothers friend and worked with her, she got pregnant and didn't want the cat to cause any physical harm to her baby so she gave him to my mother and I couldn't be happier. I love my cat. He's adorable; he's the one in the picture above! He's very lazy, but so am I (;

007. Okay, that's it. Nothing else going on in my life right now really. So I'm going to let you go; if you read all of it I love you. Thank you for caring enough to read about what I'm doing. I know it's not important, and you probably don't really care anyway. It means a lot to me (:
Bye lovlies, Take care! xxo

Review: L'oreal Carbon Black Voluminous Waterproof Mascara & L'oreal Carbon Black Waterproof Felt Tip Liquid Eyeliner

Woo, talk about a mouthful. Today I will be reviewing two L'oreal eye cosmetic products; a mascara and an eyeliner. First I should tell you that I love them both and use them both everyday. I'm basically telling you everything I'm going to say. I love them! There are cons, as there is cons with any product. If you want to read a more in depth review keep reading!

Above there is a picture of the wand of the mascara, as you can see it looks like a standard wand. Oh, but it is not a standard mascara. It is amazing! Best mascara I have ever tried, I've tried at least twelve different mascaras and this is by far my favorite! I really didn't expect much out of it when I bought it, I just needed a new mascara so I just got this one since I heared it was a dupe for a YSL mascara. I don't know if it's a dupe for a $30 mascara, but what I do know is that it's great. It gives volume (hence the name "voluminous") and it gives a little bit of length. The color is Carbon Black, so it is a very dark black. Which is obviously good in a mascara! This mascara is also waterproof which leads me to the con on this product. I can never get the mascara off my lashes! I try and try, but I end up waking up with the mascara flaking off my lashes and it looks so gross! Next time, I will look for the regular formula! Hopefully it's easier to take off!

I haven't really heared much rave on this liquid eyeliner on youtube or blogger! I really don't know why, it's such a great liquid eyeliner! Best liquid eyeliner I've ever tried. Makes putting eyeliner easier. It's great for the lashline! It is very black as you will see in the swatches. The name is "L'oreal Carbon Black Waterproof Felt Tip Liquid Eyeliner" so by the name, you should expect it to be very black. Which thank goodness, it was. It takes about five (5) minutes to be completely dry on the eye or anywhere really. So before you expect it to be waterproof wait about 5-10 minutes. You can open your eyes without having that pesky eyeliner line on your eye, it's not that wet!

These are the swatches, on the left side there are three swatches of the L'oreal Eyeliner, a thin line, a thick line, and a medium line. As yo can see they are very black. This picture truthfully doesn't do it much justice. On the right side there is a swatch of the L'oreal Carbon Black Voluminous mascara. It is very black for a mascara; it is really hard to find a really black mascara. This for sure is one of he really black mascaras you'll find!

So that is all for my review, you can request reviews if you want guys! (:

Review: ELF Complexion Perfection Powder

So, I made this post a couple of hours ago, then I try to post it and it comes up with an error message. What a pain. So I decided to just do the whole review over again.. I'll be posting at least one more post tonight so look out for that. But this post is a review for the ELF complexion perfection powder!

So as you can see there is four different pastel colored squares, a yellow, blue, green, and pink.
What ELF claims:
"Create a balanced and radiant complexion that is beautiful and healthy. The lightweight formula evens out the skin tone and absorbs excess oil. The sheer formula brightens, mattes and neutralizes the skin. The colors are meant to be blended together as the Blue neutralizes orange, the Green neutralizes red, the Pink neutralizes grey and the Yellow brightens and neutralizes red."
Do I agree with their claim? Yes. I just can't say anything about it absorbing excess oil; my skin is very very dry, so I have no problem with oil, really! Sorry for all you oily skin people! I am not sure on that, but I'm sure it does, I've seen reviews from people with oily skin and some of them said it works, but I can't say for myself. What I do is I use my ELF studio line kabuki or occasionally I use the Sigma SS150 brush and I just put my brush into the pan, swirl it in there focusing it on the green block and just sweep it on my face; mainly on my cheeks (I have very rosy cheeks.)

(swatches from l-r: pink, green, blue, yellow)
As you can see they are very light, very pastel. These had to be swatched about four times to get that color. You will not have a bright pink/yellow/blue/green powder on your face!

(swatched all colors together)

Review: Sally Hansen Natural Beauty Color Comfort Lip Color Lipsticks!

I got both of these during CVS' 25%-75% off sale, these happened to be 75% off! So I scored them for only $2.50 each. They retail for $10.00, which is really expensive for a drugstore lipstick, I know. I am pretty sure they're on sale 24/7 though, because I really don't know how many people would pay $10.00 for a Sally Hansen lipstick! They are both kind of in between a luster and matte finish, odd, I know. The two colors I have here are Soft Orchid and Perfect Pink.

As for the consistency it is a bit drying, but it has a gloss to it so it's not matte. That's why I wouldn't consider it fully a luster; since I find luster's a tad bit moisturizing. I actually really enjoy these; I hope Soft Orchid is my new favorite fall lippie! I'm not quite sure yet, but we'll see (: Sorry I've been doing a lot of reviews but that's all I really have time for right now, sorry again!

Sephora Friends & Family Sale!

Yay! I took advantage of Sephora's last sale which was like 15% off ( I can't remember the name of the sale though!) back in I think April or March! Now finally a new sale! It's the Sephora Friends and Family sale which is 20% off your whole order/purchase plus free shipping with orders over $50! Discounts in high end makeup is so rare, so I love that sephora does them! The sale starts Octorber 22 and ends November 3, 2010! So on October 22nd rush to sephora.com and add everything to your cart! (;
The code is: FF2010
BTW guys all credit goes to: http://www.productrater.blogspot.com/
If it wasn't for her post, I probably wouldn't have found out until a week after the sale ended! Hope you guys get to take advantage of the deal! <3

Review: ELF Butternut quad

Hey everyone! Today I have another ELF quad review, I know I should probably just do them all in one post but it's much easier this way! When I do own all of them I'll do one whole post on them, I promise! Today I'll be reviewing the Butternut quad. It's just a neutral, everyday shimmery quad.
The best thing about these quads is that they are literally only $1, yes $1 for four highly pigmented eye shadows; with today's economy this is a life saver. The only bad thing about ELF is that it's very "limited"; when I say "limited", I mean the availability sucks. You can only find these on there website linked here and some targets (although I have seen ELF at a couple of local grocery stores.)  I used to order off ELF's website all the time, now I hate ordering online. Two reasons, one: I don't have a credit card and I hate asking my mom or dad for their credit card numbers and two: I hate shipping; I hate having to wait for shipping and I hate having to pay for shipping.
Alright, now on to the pictures and details!
As you can see it comes with four colors (hence the name quad.) It comes with a nice shimmery off white beige with a slight yellow undertone, a peachy-apricot beige color, a nice shimmery taupe-y brown color (my favorite), and a red tone brown color.
(swatches with no flash)

 (flash)
*Note: The swatches were swatched two times for the quality of the picture. In real life the colors are much more vibrant and really only need one swipe for the color to look like the picture! (:

What am I doing?

So, I am currently in my parents room eating chocolate ice cream and blasting Katy Perry with my cat at the edge of the bed purring on my legs. I haven't been doing much lately. Because one, my health hasn't been cooperating with me and two, I just have no social life haha. I really don't ever care about my school work; so studying and doing homework doesn't really happen much to be honest (I know; I should really care more)
I haven't been doing much of school lately, last week I missed four days because I had mono and this week I've already missed two days because of my cornea injury. This is really bad because I am already far far behind the other students, and I suck at make-up work and catching on to things. I just haven't been looking forward to school like I usually do (I usually look forward to seeing my friends and that's about it haha) but lately I just have been going because I have to. I've really been drifting from my friends like I usually do. I suck at keeping friendships and to be honest I never care about losing them. Maybe once in a blue moon I care about someone, but usually it's like okay we're not friends anymore? Great I don't care. Ooh, this is kind of a personal post? Yes.
I've really been in a reading and writing mood lately. I just really want to read something, or write something. I really want to read Lauren Conrad's L.A. Candy series! It looks like something I personally would love (: Has anybody read that series? I would love to hear your opinion on it! Well, I think I'm going to let you guys go. I think I'll do more of these "What am I doing?" posts? They're fun to write! (:
Have a lovely night everybody! <3 xo

Review: Sally Girl Eyeshadow Singles

Hey everybody! Again, sorry for the lack of posting! I'm trying to make posts everyday but with my health lately that is just impossible. First I had mono, now I have an infection in my right eye. It started Monday, my eye was in pain all day. Then, it was swollen and red. So, on Tuesday I went to my doctor and he said I had an injury on my cornea so today he's making me see some special eye doctor. Okay, enough about my health. On to the review!

So today I will be reviewing two Sally Girl Eyeshadow Single which are available here  or at your local Sally's Beauty Supply store. They have a ton of colors and the best part is that they are only $0.99. That is amazing, the pigmentation is great. They blend like a dream; great great great quality. I really do think everyone should give these a shot, whether you're used to cover girl eye shadows or Chanel eye shadows I think you would still enjoy these. BTW, the two colors I'm showing you here are called (from l-r: taupe, champagne)

*(Sorry for the really crappy picture! It looked a bit better on my phone! Haha, Sorry!)

There are the swatches, just one swipe. They are very soft and velvety (I know champagne is broken in the pan. It was in my makeup bag and it broke!)

Products I Regret Buying

Hey everybody! First and foremost I want to apologize for being MIA for five days, I was sick with mono since Monday. I didn't go to school Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday. I went to the doctor on Wednesday and he told me I had all the symptoms of mono and that there was no medicine for mono, that it just went away with time and good health.
Enough about my sickness and let's get on to the products I regret buying!
(clockwise: nivea kiss of moisture chapstick, revlon colorstay foundation, mac superglass sweet tart, mac lipstick(s) viva glam gaga, and dressmaker, dressmaker, elf blush and bronzer duo, nyc blushable cream stick in plaza pink, mac blush in instant chic)

To be honest the only reason I don't like it is because I got the wrong shade! This is way too light for me! I look like a ghost when I wear it. It is also drying, but other than that I'm sure if I bought the right shade I would've liked it. Always swatch foundation if you can (:

This blush is probably the worst powder blush I've ever tried.. The only reason I really got it was because everyone on youtube was raving about it saying it's the most amazing blush out there. It's not. It's called instant chic from the pret-a-papier collection. It's chalky, sheer, and the color itself isn't so great. I definitely regret buying this blush.

Another MAC product. Who would've guessed? I love MAC, but there are just some products I never use. This is definitely one of them. First it's $18.50 which is $4 more than a regular MAC lipglass and it contains less product (yes, I know the container is bigger but it contains 4.5 grams while the regular lipglass contains 4.8 grams.) The color is sheer, it's sticky, the glitter is gritty, it's hard to blend. I can't imagine what a MAC dazzleglass is like (I've never tried one and I hear these are less glittery)

I bought this back in late January when I first started wearing and buying makeup. I didn't mind it at first because I heared it was a dupe for orgasm by nars, but as soon as I bought the nars orgasm I realized they were nothing a like. The ELF one is powdery, a little chalky, doesn't have a gold undertone to it, and it's just not a dupe. I don't ever use it anymore. I'm probably going to give it to my mother.
I know. Everyone raves and raves about it. It's horrid. It moisturizes them for like two minutes and then they are drier than before you applied the chap stick. Definitely not worth it. Don't buy it! Softlips is a lot better if you're looking for a good chap stick (:

To be honest, theres nothing bad with it. It's just I never ever use it. Last time I touched it was probably two months ago. It's great, it's just I don't use it. Ever.
Viva glam gaga is too pink for me and Dressmaker, Dressmaker is too coral for me. Not much to it.
