Review: ELF Healthy Glow Bronzing Powders

(from l-r: sunkissed, matte bronze, warm tan)
I ordered these bronzers (along with one other one which I'll explain in a second) from ELF a few of months ago. I ordered sunkissed, matte bronze, warm tan, and luminance. Luminance sadly broke. I was holding it and shook it in the air for like three seconds and the powder broke! It was such a soft texture. I guess that it was so soft that it broke! It was a gorgeous color, too bad it broke :/
(matte bronze)
The picture isn't really true to color. It's really washed out. The color is a lot darker in person. I think this would work a lot better for people with nc30 skin and above. I'm an nc20 and this is way too dark for me. I never use it. It's also kind of chalky, so watch out for that.

(warm tan)
This is definitely, hands down, my favorite color of the bunch! I have dry skin so the shimmer doesn't bother me. (I heared oily skin should stay away from shimmer) I love the way it looks. It's such a gorgeous color! I think this would work on all skin tones and that says a lot.

(sunkissed)
I actually ordered this one first, about a month before the other three. I honestly don't like it. It's far too shimmery and too ORANGE. It is very orange. You can't even tell on the picture. I really don't reccomend it unless you want to look like an oompa loompa, which you probably don't, so stay away!

All in all, I really would only recommend Warm tan. Unless you're darker, than I would recommend matte bronze.

My MAC Palette + Mini Update!

Sorry I've been gone for five whole days! Lately I've just been so tired, working on homework, studying for this test I took today, I'm taking the last portion of the test tomorrow (thank god) but too bad it's on my weakest subject, math. By the way expect a haul some time next week or the week after! I ordered a lot of things online from Sephora, MAC, and Transdesign.com! I'm super excited to get everything in!

(first row, l-r: naked lunch, grand entrance, jest, and all that glitters. second row, l-r: honesty, mulch, and satin taupe)

I love my neutral eyeshadow as you can see, these are all the MAC eyeshadows I own. I do own two other quads, but those don't really count. My personal favorite colors are naked lunch, grand entrance and satin taupe. The ones I don't use or care for are all that glitters and honesty. Honesty really lacks in pigment. It really is just a very very sheer brown with a bunch of shimmer. All that glitters is just not my type of color, a lot of people describe it as a champagne color. That is definitely not the case, it's more of a neutral melon/gold toned lid color. I really am not a fan of melon nor gold colors. It was my first eyeshadow from MAC (first permanent color) and it was a huge dissapointment for me.

Hope you enjoyed the post, dolls! xo

Review: Sally Girl Eyeshadow Singles

Hey everybody! Again, sorry for the lack of posting! I'm trying to make posts everyday but with my health lately that is just impossible. First I had mono, now I have an infection in my right eye. It started Monday, my eye was in pain all day. Then, it was swollen and red. So, on Tuesday I went to my doctor and he said I had an injury on my cornea so today he's making me see some special eye doctor. Okay, enough about my health. On to the review!

So today I will be reviewing two Sally Girl Eyeshadow Single which are available here  or at your local Sally's Beauty Supply store. They have a ton of colors and the best part is that they are only $0.99. That is amazing, the pigmentation is great. They blend like a dream; great great great quality. I really do think everyone should give these a shot, whether you're used to cover girl eye shadows or Chanel eye shadows I think you would still enjoy these. BTW, the two colors I'm showing you here are called (from l-r: taupe, champagne)

*(Sorry for the really crappy picture! It looked a bit better on my phone! Haha, Sorry!)

There are the swatches, just one swipe. They are very soft and velvety (I know champagne is broken in the pan. It was in my makeup bag and it broke!)

Review: Cover Girl Shimmering Sands Trio

I picked this up at walmart about three or four months ago for less than $5 since I heared so many people talk about it on youtube. I've used it enough to do a review; so I decided why not do one?

It comes with three colors; one kind of mid tone red brown color, one light taupe-y color, and one whiteish pink-y color.
                                                                           (with flash)
(without flash)
  • Pros: affordable, neutral, everyday use, comes with a lot of product, easy to find, sponge tip applicators, on sale frequently
  • Cons: a little powdery, kind of sheer, cheap packaging, not the easiest to blend, frosty, a tad bit of fall out

So there you go, a little review of the Cover Girl Shimmering Sands Trio!

Random Mini Haul!

I was browsing around luuux the other day when I saw this post that said 50% off Wet N' Wild cosmetics, so of course I instantly clicked on the post and read the details! The deal ended today (sadly) so I had to go to make my mom drive me to Walgreen's! Don't worry; she bought a couple of things herself haha. I didn't go crazy, I only bought three Wet N' Wild things.

Also, I got a metal tin from the salvation army thrift store to put rings in. I'm not sure how that will work out but it was only $0.99, I couldn't resist.

(Wet N' Wild Walking On Eggshells Trio with swatches)
I got this trio for $1.50, yes $1.50. That is incredible. These eyeshadows are extremely pigmented, smooth, and easy to blend. This is a great trio for an everyday neutral look. Such a great steal!
(Wet N' Wild Lust Palette with swatches)
I paid $2.50 for this. WHAT? yes. The second color on the second row is really the reason I bought it. The color is so different. It's a flat black with purple shimmer. Most people describe it as what MAC's beauty marked was supposed to be. The matte colors are kind of chalky, but nothing terrible whatsoever.

(Revlon Nail Polish in Peach Petal)
The color is beautiful. I love it, the consistancy of it is not great; I'm still not sure on my feelings towards it. It dries super super slow, I let it dry for at least 10 minutes and it still wouldn't dry. So, I went ahead and put another coat and took this pictures and took it off right after. Hopefully next time I try it, it works great. Hopefully.

(Wet N' Wild Nutty single eyeshadow with swatch)
A lot of people said a good dupe for satin taupe is this eyeshadow. I don't agree. Its similar, but definitely not a "dupe". It is a really pretty color though! I will be for sure using this!

(*Sorry I didn't swatch the revlon lipgloss! There's tons of swatches out there, just google it if you were curious!)
